Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the Joan Baez Songbook. I've worn out two ... it's a nostalgia thing ... thanks

Well, there's a used one for $4.95 plus shipping at Powell's Books in Portland, Oregon. Their service leaves a bit to be desired and they don't always have in stock everything that's listed in their database - but they do have a huge selection of books. Amazon.com also has the book listed, as a "special order," which means that they may or may not be able to get it for you. I got my hopes up and ordered Sam Henry's Songs of the People from amazon, but they diappointed me.
Hope that helps. Happy hunting.

I'm looking for the Joan Baez songbook.
Just now I'm living in Argentina, without any credit card. Does anybody know how to get this book here?
Please help me! Thanks

I got a decent used one on eBay for about $7. You might try there.

There are a load of them on the secondhand booksellers' site www.abebooks.com if you type title & author into the search box. Most of the shops are in the USA or Canada (though Abe caters to the European market as well) and you can usually negotiate with the seller directly regarding payment. Clickie HERE

I have great memories of that book too! Best of luck - hope you find one.

You can also check Alibris.com -- the place I check for used books along with Amazon. I suppose you could check Ebay, too, especially if you want a copy with coffee stains in the likeness of the Virgin Mary on it.

That was the first folksong book I ever had, back when I was in my teens. Good luck finding one, I know there are some out there still.

I've always loved Joan. My favorite song she sings is "Come All Ye Fair And Tender Maidens". If anyone else has a copy they'd like to donate, I'm willing to pay postage.

Long live Joan and her early music!

Be warned, at least one of the book's transcriptions is totally screwed up! (i.e. Annabel Lee).
