From: Desert Dancer I can't seem to get at it through the search: last Friday or so there was a shortish thread on Macs and Midi issues, and someone posted an answer for translating Midi text. Can anyone else get the thread back up? Thanks in advance. ~ Becky in Tucson |

From: pavane I have written a number of programs to manipulate MIDI files, and if a new MIDI to Text program is required, I am sure I could come up with something for Windows fairly quickly. I have all the routines needed to read and write MIDI files. I would only need to know the text format you wanted. Not for MAC though. |

From: Snuffy Pavane, Mudcatter Alan of Australia wrote a couple of programs specially for the forum so Catters could convert MIDIs to text and post them in the forum, and other Catters could convert them back into MIDI. Thats all the strange red numbers you see in threads like this. The MIDI bit seems to work fine, but the ABC invariably needs some post-processing. Have a look - see if you can up with something better. |
