During the O Brother Tribute show at the Acoustic Harvest Folk Club on Saturday somebody mentioned an upcoming Bluegrass show at the Air Canada Centre. Apparently Ralph Stanley is one of five acts on the bill. Does anyone know the date and who the other bands are?

The whole schedule, at least at the time that I last looked. I expect some of you are close enough to some of these that there will be no need for weeping. None are closer to me than 600 miles, though.

The "Down From the Mountain" tour, featuring the likes of Ralph Stanley, Emmylou Harris and Patty Loveless and music from the "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" soundtrack will go on the road for an 18-date tour in late January.

"Down from the Mountain" will begin an 18-city tour in Lexington, Ky.on Friday, January 25th. Artists include also Alison Krauss & Union Station, The Whites, Norman and Nancy Blake, Chris Thomas King, Bob Neuwirth, The Peasall Sisters and The Nashville Bluegrass Band.

The concert will include individual as well as collective performances, culminating in a grand finale featuring all artists performing together. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster locations. Certified double platinum, the soundtrack for "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" (Lost Highway/Mercury Nasvhille) features a genre of music which encompasses classic songs from America's rich musical history. The movie soundtrack, nominated for four CMA Awards, is the best selling country album of the year holding the number one position on Billboard's "Top Country Album" chart for more than 20 weeks.

Greycap, British Airways can correct your predicament. At least they did for me in 1977 when I moved to Toronto. JohnB

JohnB, I'm tempted, believe me, and passing up temptation isn't what I do best. I've always liked Toronto.Unfortunately on 6th Feb, I'm in Gibraltar.
