When I heard that Google was indexing the entire usenet since 1981, I went looking for classics. and I found one.

This (if the link works) may be the Great American Novel in 2 pages. From Bgrass-l back in '96.

Peter.

I figgured it wuz rite up there wit Paw on the Garage Wall.........I beleive I did tell you all about the Wedding Reception for the Catholic priests' daughter which was held on Fr./Dad's 50th wedding anniversary, so it was a double---except that Fr./Dad's wife had been dead 20 years????

Indeed it was, Nathan. (i thought you always ignored me...........???grin) He/she/they even had 2 receptions at the same time--one at the Country Club, one at the Fairgrounds. 4 cakes--was really weird.

If you go to the archives of bluegrass-l out of the University of Kentucky, and hunt for anything from Purvis Jackson, you will find SEVERAL of his stories there, and thay are all great. There should also be some references to places he has written articles for. The guy is a natural!
