Here's a great new Christmas Carol from Kenny Rogers's album "The Gift."
It's done to a sort of Reggae-Calypso beat. Not a traditional song, but it's "folky."

I don't know, Leland, but I can play a tape of it into your voice mail if you send me your number.

If I have time, I'll try to make a MIDI, too, but the salsa-type rhythm may not come across in a simple MIDI, and that would be a shame.

               Audio music CD Marketing in India is not very comforting. We can sell CDs for only 60 Rupees. That is less than one USD. (Today's exchange rates 1 USD = 63.25 Indian rupees and one Pound Sterling = 98.98 INR) So getting back the investment and the production Cost itself is not sure.

             More over people who like English songs prefer to buy English CDs sung by Western singers to Indian made. Therefore this is not for personal gain but a passion project. So we humbly request you to help us to get permission to use this song for our project.

Great song! Did Sharon Rice ever sing the song. I have a copy of a female singing the song but does identify who sang it.
