Lyr Req: The voice

Hey,

Can anybody give me the lyrics of the song The voice? The name of the singer is Eimar Quinn and with that song Ireland won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1996 or 1997, I'm not sure. The first two lyrics are:

I hear your voice on the wind And I hear you call out my name

Anybody, please mail the lyrics to katels3@hotmail.com Thanks.

Love, Els

THE VOICE
Eimear Quinn

I hear your voice on the wind
And I hear you call out my name.

Listen my child you say to me
I am The Voice of your history
Be not afraid - come follow me
Answer my call and I'll set you free.

I am The Voice in the wind and the pouring rain
I am The Voice of your hunger and pain
I am The Voice that always is calling you
I am The Voice and I will remain

I am The Voice in the fields when the Summer's gone
The dance of the leaves when the Autumn winds blow
Never do I sleep throughout all the cold Winter long
I am the force that in Springtime will grow

I am The Voice of the Past that will always be
Filled with my sorrows and blood in my fields
I am The Voice of the Future
Bring me your peace, bring me your peace
and my wounds they will heal

I am The Voice in the wind and the pouring rain
I am The Voice of your hunger and pain
I am The Voice that always is calling you
I am The Voice

I am The Voice of the Past that will always be
I am The Voice of your hunger and pain
I am The Voice of the Future
I am The Voice, I am The Voice

I am The Voice, I am The Voice

Sounds like a nice song. Can anybody tell us something about it? WEhat's the tune like? If it has a nice, acoustic tune and accompaniment, it could be quite nice. It it's Europop, I might have trouble with it. I guess "bubblegum music" is the American equivalent of what I think of as "Europop."

Well, I think she has every right to call herself the voice, since her voice is absolutely wonderful. A golden, enchanting voice... :-) I really love the song, it's one of my favorites. It's not like 'bubblegum music' at all, it's really really cool, maybe a little bit more like pop than Irish music normally is, but still typically Irish folk music. If you give me your e-mail address, I might be able to send you the song.
