23 Dec 01 - 07:47 PM (#615573) Subject: RE: WFDU & New Years From: Bill D K? the stations in Wichita, Kans. were "K"...but only because all stations west of the Mississippi, I believe, are "K"...the world was divided up many years ago, and the US got 2 letters, sort of at random...little did they realize that there would be so many stations that many places would use numbers and cutesy names instead. |

23 Dec 01 - 08:01 PM (#615578) Subject: RE: WFDU & New Years From: BH I was being facetious---check the other thread on the call letter queries--Bill D As to the New Years program. If you like Amazing Grace tune in. You will hear quite a few interesting versions to usher in the new year---along with some things that even surprise me with their prescience having been written prior to the tragic events of this year. But--hey---light stuff is still on the agenda. Bill Hahn |
