She in turn bought me 'Time After Time'. Wow! What a voice. Such talent, and was sad to learn she is already gone. I am not good at describing voices, but think I can safely say hers is about as pure as I've heard. AQ |

I look for something special in my female singers and Eva has it (also Ella, Sassie, Streisand, Garland, Dement, so she is in good company). Voices that left us some time ago. A while back I used to do a regular feature of such voices for about 15 or 20 minutes. If you would like that revived please let me know---either here or at poobah891@yahoo.com . Another thing that might be nice would be if some of you mudcatters would like to send me names and/or pieces by some of the voices that are gone and we might put an hour or so together once we accumulate a list. Do about, say, an hour like that with a bit of a bio of the artist and pperhaps your comments about them.
