What ever happened to Banjo Bonnie?

I miss the posts of Banjo Bonnie. Has she gone from us or am I just not hitting the right keys? Does anyone know if she's ok?

She was over a few months ago and we talked for a long time. Heather spoke to her on the phone before Christmas, but I don't know what she's been doin' lately. Guess sometimes 'real life' intrudes on Mudcat time. Bet she's still pickin' though.

Cheers

Rick

In fact, I just got a couple of emails from our dear bobbysoxer.....LOL. Seems as though she was in a banjo camp in W. by gawd Virginny and met a spayshul fella who was there. She sounds great, and is just enjoying the hell out of life right now. These are great times when they happen. But she is pickin' away and enjoyin' a wonderful relationship. Don't git no better'n that. I will tell her that this thread is here. She will get a kick out of it.

Ohhwellluuhhhhyeahhh.........I've had a few conversations too and I think Mick has filled you in pretty well.......I think Bonnie has found something that may be real.....too early to tell, but we got our fingers crossed here for whatever is best for the girl....and I think she has a handle on that!

Hopefully she's gonna' make a little time for a quick Spaw visit on one of her West Virginny sojourns this spring or summer. I think when she goes there she BOTH pickin' and grinnin'!!!!

them Banjo workshops in W. Va. seem to be dangerous places to send your SingleYoungFemales...had a local one disappear down there a couple years ago...*grin*...seems happy, but we shore don't hear much...(she found a guitar player)....

Ah, I remember a lovely time with one of those WVA pickers back in my younger days. What a claw hammer player. Makes me smile just to think of him.

Hi Guys,
Well its true, I'm in love and its the best feeling.
Actually if it wasn't for the Mudcat, I'm not sure I would have ever met the man of my dreams. So I have much to be thankful for. No he isn't a Mudcatter but a good Mudcatter friend of mine opened the essential door for me......Dwight Diller Banjo University. That did it. Lead me down the trail to romance it did. Goes to show you how connected everything is.

Don't mean to be such a strange these days but romance has been so satisfying I hardly ever turn on my computer these days. Too busy 'turning on' other things. Oy Bonnie, that is disgusting!

Lots of love I send you all.
Little Neo

Congratulations, Bonnie (you told me last week, and I also heard it from Guy with whom I spent a weird but fine Saturday afternoon and evening--I'll drop you a line about that and post it to the 'cat, as well). Love, Uncle Seed.

Wishing you both the best of everything--be happy!

Bonnie, I miss you around here (sniff, sniff), but I'm glad you're happy. Missed you in Toronto, too, but I didn't seem to have much time because The Bad Influence kept dragging me off to look at guitars, one of which I bought.

Neo - there you are - sitting with the man of your dreams, your Dillar tapes, and Moon bridges, and your Bart Reiter and Saga, Mississippi Sawyer melody going through your head and down to your hands, out of those nimble fingers onto the 5 strings. What destiny! You see, playing banjo can have some interesting consequences!

You guys sure make me feel wanted.

Being a dietitian I have noticed how falling in love has a significant impact on your weight. Weight goes down during initial dating due to fluttery stomach and all the additional exercise (oooops, Bonnie!) Then when you settle into the nest weight goes up from all the yummy meals you share together.

I think I might start a thread about falling in love and the impact it has on your music.

Good idea, Lil' Neo. Love has a grand effect on the music, the weight loss is only temporary, at least in my case, but the music can go on for a LONG TIME.

I guess this disproves all those jokes about the love life of banjo players!
