05 Mar 02 - 01:07 PM (#663144) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: Linda Kelly I think it would be a good idea-considering there is at least one Mudcatter at every event if there was a timetable for all events in the Hull and surrounding areas because frankly I can't keep up-which is a wonderful position to be in music wise but frustrating to know when you've missed something really good! I am happy to do this if Mudcatters would send me a PM of sessions they know about |
05 Mar 02 - 01:25 PM (#663153) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: Rt Revd Sir jOhn from Hull Linda-I'm already working on this! I will post the full list in a couple of days. |

20 Mar 02 - 05:04 AM (#672445) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: Skipjack K8 John, it would be useful if you included the nature of the session in the details, i.e. tune session, song and tune, unaccompanied, singarounds, Irish etc. Very useful idea, though. Good luck with keeping it up. Skipjack |
02 Apr 02 - 09:57 AM (#681482) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: Rt Revd Sir jOhn from Hull Refresh, I'm still working on the list, it's a lot bigger than i thought! Skipjack-What is the Barton session format? Is it a tune session or mixed? Cheers.john |

Yes thats tonight 27th August from 8.30 see you there or be a round object with flattened sides |
27 Aug 02 - 06:27 AM (#772212) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: The DeanMeister That sounds ominously like an order to me, chaps. Will try to escape for a while, john. But it's been a busy old weekend. Played, Saturday night, Sunday night, and Monday afternoon so may be stretching it a bit to get away...Hope to see you there though. Thanks for coming to Oddfellows session on sunday. Was a pleasant evening, if a little underattended. And thanks to Gordon for the lift home! Rumour has it that the session will become a monthly thing. Hope so, but will keep you posted. |
27 Aug 02 - 06:53 AM (#772225) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: smallpiper As I used to say in younger more inocent times Darza mate! See you tonight |
27 Aug 02 - 07:39 AM (#772233) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: GUEST,Oakley Smallpliers, I will have to put it in the list of things that I wanted to do but couldn't9. I have to nurture a bout of fatigue - inspired wistfulness. Have a good session. Might catch up with you at Goxhill9. |

27 Aug 02 - 08:56 AM (#772264) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: Baby Custard Does anyone know of any sessions round the West Yorksire area?? Round Leeds or halifax or places like that. Preferably Irish but others are fine too! Thanx! |
27 Aug 02 - 09:43 AM (#772285) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: GUEST,Oakley My night recovering with a bottle of Baileys, a mountain of Baywatch Betamaxes and a tissue has been highjacked by Bloke in the Corner, who is inticing me to attend the session at the Sloop. I will resist for a bit at least. It is premature to announce the arrival of Cara's hour-long CD "Asleep Behind the Settee", so I'll resist that temptation as well. |
27 Aug 02 - 10:48 AM (#772330) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: Sir Roger de Beverley Either I'm out of sync or you guys are. Our acoustic workshop at the Sun runs on alternate Tuesdays and I set it up deliberately not to clash with the Hase - however, we are on tonight too! Who has a calendar with too many Tuesdays in it? Incidentally, the best session/singaround in the West Riding is at the Brewer's Pride, Healey road, Ossett. Every Thursday from 9pm. It is also the best beer range around and has its own brewery.(I used to help run it until I emigrated East) R |
28 Aug 02 - 06:14 AM (#772805) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: smallpiper Yep Rog we're outa sink caused by wibbyness but we'll sort it and get back in line |
28 Aug 02 - 01:07 PM (#773006) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: selby Baby Custard You could try the George and Dragon at Haddlesey tonight 28/8/02 about 1 hour away from you if you have a driver! we are all going. Keith |
09 Sep 02 - 06:55 PM (#780060) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: smallpiper The next Hase sesion is the 17th September Not 10th as coul dbe expected this will bring us back in line with Rogers Beverley session. |
10 Sep 02 - 09:26 AM (#780376) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: GUEST,Oakley As an alternative, why not visit the beautiful byzantine city of Barton on Humber on Tuesday night - 10th September. The Sloop Inn on Waterside (not far from Barton Central railway station) is an award-winning thatched coaching inn dating from the 14th century, and is largely unaltered with roaring log fires and moistened, private fleeming booths. The session starts at 9.00. It is in the Egor Runway good Food Guide and the bear9 is superb if a little abitiously priced. If anyone wants a lift, please ring each other as I am walking there. |
10 Sep 02 - 09:40 AM (#780395) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: smallpiper Can I have sum of what you're on? |
10 Sep 02 - 10:01 AM (#780413) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: GUEST,Oakley I am on horseback, with the wind in my hair, being clutched in an unneccessary way by a pair of heavy gardening gloves contaning the Atrixo'd hands of Twillingsgate's finest. In an hour, we'll be slashing the seats at a drive-in movie, without a care as the automobile will have been stolen by my beloved's own hand.

10 Sep 02 - 11:01 AM (#780451) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: Skipjack K8 Get back, smalleper, despite his febrile rantings, he is in fact on Mrs Drinkall from Number 21 Gary Indiana |
10 Sep 02 - 11:13 AM (#780455) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: GUEST,Oakley Hi Crocodile Dundalk. Look forward to making your acquaintance at the Sloop tonight. I'll buy the bear9 but only for a while. I have asked the DeanMeister to attend in order to rehearse the scratch ceilidh band for Saturday. But I don't think he's awake. |
10 Sep 02 - 12:07 PM (#780491) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: Skipjack K8 Splendid. I will come armed with photo's (correct apostrophe - conjunction) of three pretentious blokes in a boat, looking precious in Bradwell Creek, playing home-made tunes, all about me. I'm orf to see good friend and thoroughly bloody nice bloke Eric the Viking on me way home from Leeds9, so save sume 'abitiously' priced bear9 for me. Gary (oooh Donna) Hart |
10 Sep 02 - 02:14 PM (#780591) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: smallpiper Mrs Drinkall from no 26! Horse back! slashing seats! Ah to be young, free and able to persue a life of crime and liesure! see you for sum bear9 |
11 Sep 02 - 06:52 AM (#781142) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: Skipjack K8 Aaah, I've got it, Oakers, you cunning stoat. It's one of them new words, innit? Abitiously priced - a combination of ambitious and amoral, closest relation usury. That sauce you mortgaged for me last night was jolly good. Our new man keeps an excellent pint in the Sloop. And his wife is beautifully shaped. And isn't it a lovely day?

11 Sep 02 - 10:47 AM (#781248) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: smallpiper Yes it is a lovely day and yes he keeps a good pint (although I only sampled one as I was driving) and yes she is very shapley. Congratulations on breaking your first string whilst not even playing the instrument - that's style regards smalllepper |
11 Sep 02 - 11:32 AM (#781290) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: Skipjack K8 'Twas a strange night of string gremlins, smallplopper, indeed. But not unpleasant in places. Not enough piping, thur. Which I hope you will remedy tonacht. |
11 Sep 02 - 11:50 AM (#781308) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: smallpiper I plan to and I hope to persude Sue to come along too. |
11 Sep 02 - 06:37 PM (#781571) Subject: RE: Session at the Hase From: smallpiper Unfortunately I didn't make it - this was due to a bout of acute shyness/depression/life but buggeritanddamm I'll see you all next week |
