Lyr Req: the moon giving light for a rover

I heard this song last night (jan 12) on the Prairie Home Companion, but unfortunately, I was in my car and eventually drove out of range of the radio station, so I don't know who the performers were (sounded like the Boys of the Lough), but the chorus went something like" here's the day; it's not the day; 'tis the day, the night is over, Tis the day, it's not the day, it's just the moon giving light for a rover"

anyone know the verses and correct wording for the chorus, and where I might find a recording?

I tried the digitrad already.

We first heard this being sung by Kevin Mitchell, one of the finest Irish singers we know of. Apart from solo work, he is also a member of Stramash.

We have a CD of his (I sang that sweet refrain) but sadly this song isn't on it. We'll keep a look out for you though.

Last Saturday night I heard a tune on the Prairie Home COmpanion, but I was in my car and got out of range of the radio station before I could find out who sang it. The words were something like"here's the day, it's not the day, 'tis the day, the night if over. tis the day, it's not the day, it's just the moon giving light for a rover". Does anyone have the verses, and any info on available recordings?
