15 Jan 02 - 12:14 AM (#628142) Subject: Irish 10P From: Haruo Yesterday, in Seattle, Washington, I received an Irish 10P piece in change, presumably mistaken for an American nickel (5ยข coin). Now that there's no such thing as Irish money anymore, what should I do with it? Liland |

Wait until dark and then enter their home and take them hostage until your nickel is returned. If they no longer know the whereabouts of your nickel, castrate all males in the family and send their balls to anyone who they say might have your nickel. Follow up on each of these and perform the same on any who cannot produce your nickel. When the police catch up with you, say that you are doing this because the voices in your head keep repeating the same phrase over and over......."Calcified toad bones are tee-pee windows".......while a vision of your great aunt Lucy strips down to her g-string. No date limit on that either. If you're going to take up Catspaw's option, on the other hand, I reckon it was highly-placed executives in the 2 biggest Irish banks that done it. That planted the damn thing in that till. Do everything advised 'cept sing 'em 'Pretty Boy Floyd' backwards as ye're doing it... |

15 Jan 02 - 08:40 AM (#628278) Subject: RE: Help: Irish 10P From: Grab I was going to suggest using it if you go to Britain, cos British and Irish coins used to be the same size and weight, just with different piccies on them. But Britain went to using smaller silver coins (5p, 10p, 50p) a few years back and I think the Irish kept the larger ones, so you wouldn't get away with it. Graham. |
