a couple new things in the auction

the auction action seems to have slowed since the flurry to get the bills paid...I added a Sing Out from 1965, a Spin folksong magazine from England with The Young Tradition on the cover, and a New Lost City Ramblers songbook a couple days ago, and it would be a shame if they went for nothing or got no bids....take a look....

*groaning while grinning* at BOTH of you...shakes head, chuckling and muttering "Tit for tort, oh gawdess! Make a clean breast! Sheesh, I took a shower last night!"

Awright, awright...you may have missed this, Amos, it was a front or back cover piccie of the following book, which Bill D, the selfish git, had squirreled away in his VAST basement treasure trove. Sadly, his piccie of it is not online, at least while his server moves data to a new thingie, at least that's what HIS old link said, anyhow...according to Bookfinder.com, it's actually worth a bit of cashola and is described as follows (truly bizarro, man!):

BISBA by Timothy Burr;Florenz Gabriel Hercules Publishing Company Trenton 1965.

Why and How-Women's Breasts Reveal Their Character Baring the breast's intriguing mysteries from its influence (on man, mind and history) to its inspection, analysis, identification, rating and interpretation, plus a uniquely voluable dictionary commentary on a thousand ways to describe women. Extraordinary, bizarre work., 8vo - over ...

I mean, this author actually said that women's breasts changed sizes according to their character and personality!

At one point, Bill said he might consider a lending library type arrangement for all of us who might want to study the depths of knowledge and secrets this great work has to offer. Any news on that front, Bill?

Clean as a whistle,

katLAUGHINGhao!!

durn!...I got me a collectors item?....did you see a real price?

and kat & Susan...perhaps you all need to conduct serious scientific research on this!..Susan has 'evidence' that supports this silly book...*grin*....

lending library...hmmm....no one but YOU, MS katoftheprurientinterest has asked....but I do see the need to get wider circulation for such an 'important' work...*glllrrrgghhh*..(strangling on THAT one!) how might this work?

well...I finally looked it up..(never used Bookfinder before!)...seems it is 'available' various places. You can pay anywhere from $17 to $75 for it!..seems to average $40-60...not bad, I guess. (mine has a slighty worn dust jacket)

Oh, heck, Art, what was it? I'll bet Jeff/Pene cold help track it down.

BillD....so...'tis I who has the prurient interest, eh? Let us not forget who actually owns the "silly book!"

Glad to introduce you to Bookfinder; where've ya been? I found out about it, on Mudcat, about 3 years ago! Can you believe the prices they want for Bisba?!! You're right, it is a collector's item and there are none for sale on ebay right now!!!**BG**

well, kat...I will consider my options.*grin*...it's not like I have women flocking to the house demanding to have their character analyzed....but, who knows, now that it is public knowlege! Maybe I can hang out a shingle:

"Hey!...Come in-- compare YOURS to these charts! Instant guidance to improve yourself!" ....beats reading tea-leaves!..*wink*
