I'm rather sick, I'm afraid, bad flu, hard time waking accross the room tonight, but I'll be better soon and take your recording of Engine 33 to Engine 33. For those who don't know... Kev recorded a WONDERFUL CD, which includes my song for the lost firefighters of Engine 33 Ladder 9. I'm going to have to sign off now old friend, but your CD really gave me a pick up. Cheers Larry |

(at least, not on the Forum...) Kevin, let me echo what Wolfgang said. How do we in the States get a hold of this recording? |

16 Jan 02 - 02:42 PM (#629135) Subject: RE: Kev McGrath great recording... From: McGrath of Harlow You're welcome to call me anything you like, Larry. Glad you like the CD. Especially what I did with your song.
Now the thing is, I've just learned how to work the CD recorder on my computer, so I put some of the songs I have on tape through the machine - the tapes are there to help learn the words. (You'd think if you wrote a song you'd know it, but it's not like that at all, because you have different versions of the lines milling around inside you.)
Then I got a thing for making pretty labels for Christmas, so I made up a few and sent them of as a New Year to a couple of people. (There's a couple more I should have sent to, but I had a computer lose a lot of stuff recently, including addresses.
So it's not what you could call a general release. It's playing around with the technology we've got these days.
So if anyone wants one, send me a PM about it, and I'll see about making a few more. But what might be quicker if you want to hear it is I've just been putting a bunch of songs into RealAudio (aka RealPlayer)files to stick up on a website. That should be up in a few days, when I can get the free webspace sorted out. (If anybody's got any recommendations on that, let me know - I need about 100MBs space, and a server who isn't too restrictive about bandwidth, because even with Real Audio song files tend to be a bit big.) |

Marmite As for instrumentation and other musicians Wolfgang, that's simple, it's just me and a guitar. |
