If not you can read about it at the link below. I think it is one of the most incredible stories Ive heard. And I know it was irresponsible and dangerous etc etc. but I'm glad he did it. It is people like this who make me go "Jesus! Some people are crazy" and I am glad they are. So who will rise to the challenge. Can the mudcat find a suitable tune and witty lyrics to pay homage to this modern day legend. http://www.darwinawards.com/stupid/stupid1997-11.html Mj |

Something like... Up, up and away, with his beautiful balloons, Larry likes to sway in his chair made of alum., He can glide along with pistol, and six pack of beer, but when he falls back to earth, the cops will all be near. Thats about all I'm going with this one! Rustic |

Wish you had stepped back from thta ledge my friend. |

25 Feb 02 - 09:23 AM (#657412) Subject: RE: Song Challenge Lawnchair Larry From: SharonA Okay, I'm off to write a ditty on the order of "45 Red Balloons" (or should that be "lead balloons" since that's what the stunt went over like!), based on "99 Luftballoons" by Nena. My apologies in advance to the German 'Catters, but I'm going to have to write it in English, since the only other language I ever learned is Spanish! Sharon |
