BS: Time - something to think about

Would like to share this with you all. Just received it in my email, today:

It's all about time...isn't it?

There is a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out ALL OF IT, of course!!!!

Each of us has such a bank. Its name is TIME. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft.

Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day. If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours.

There is no going back. There is no drawing against the "tomorrow." You must live in the present on today's deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness, and success! The clock is running. Make the most of today.

To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who failed a grade.

To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby.

To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.

To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed the train.

To realize the value of ONE-SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an accident.

To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND, ask the person who won a silver medal in the Olympics.

Treasure every moment that you have! And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time.

And remember that time waits for no one. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present!!!

sorry...I'm too busy to think about time....and if I stop to contemplate how easy it is to waste time, I feel guilty about wasting time...and...uh....I'd explain this in greater depth, but I'm out of.......................

One of my teachers, everytime she saw someone goofing off used to quote, "Two golden hours, each set with 60 diamond minutes, lost somewhere between sunrise and sunset, gone forever, and have left no profit."

I don't think it's possible to discuss time without fully understanding The Time Cube.

According to H. Allen Smith, RIP, the philosopher Kant once said:

Nothing puzzles me more than time and space, and yet nothing puzzles me less, for I never think about them.

Smith added, "That guy thinks just like me!"

It is a wonderful post kat and time is a factor in all things.

For instance, I know this guy who was constantly being asked by his wife if he thought her boobs were too small. After 20 years of marriage this was still going on. The other day she asked him again and he said, "I think I have the solution for you." Well she was quite excited and pleased that he should have even looked into it, albeit a long time after she started complaining. She asked what he'd found out and he said, "Honey, your breasts will grow if you go on a daily regimen of religiously rubbing toilet paper between your boobs. Do it every day and I think your boobs will grow." She replied, "That seems too easy. Do you really think it will work?" He said, "Well, I dunno', but it worked pretty well on your ass."

The funeral is Friday at 2:30.

Thanks for that reminder, kat!

Spaw-I looked at the link you posted, but I couldn't understand it at all. What the hell is all that about??? I think the guy who wrote all that has been smoking some of that funny smelling tobacco! How far does it scroll down for? I gave up after about 5 mins.

heck, I'm a-studying thet there "time cube"...I can use a $1000 fer dis-provin' it. Now lessee....harmonic convolutions intrinsicly discombomulated with a squared circle in academia means that.....hmmmmm....

(go on with what you're doing...I'll holler when I'm ready)

Surely you mean the continuum of the fifth dimension intersects with that of the peragrinations of the aforementioned four, causing a random flux to enter the quantum realm thus nullifying your theory and extending that of the Weain'tgotnotime cubists, which of course is in and of itself an oxymoron?

Aw c'mon, guys. I know more about Time than that "Cube" asshole -- he's been on some kind of a far out trip -- and if he is so determined to promulgate wisdom beyond words, he shouldn't work so hard at throwing damn words around.

Wonder what the chemistry of that trip coulda been? Nothing I even took, that's for sure...unless my emory fails, which is possible...LOL!! Jeeze what a charactar. I have to ask, Spaw -- where the hell do you come up with shit like this???

I used to use a Peppermint Soap shamppoo that came with stuff like that written all over the bottle, but at least there was value inside the bottle!! LOL!

Now as to Time, here's the big secret. Time looks constant, but is not. It is a created consideration about how things will persist. It is actually caused by starting and stopping motion. If you'd just give that up, you'd transcend time altogether.

But don't let on I tole ya. I think it's supposed to be a secret...**bg**

Bill? ... Bill? ........forget that stuff and start moving before you become a planter........hmm....Well, could be a little late for that...........

Personally, I just want some of whatever that guy with the Time Cube is doing........I mean not a lot because I think it's already made his ass null and void, but maybe just enough for a taste everyday..............I have no idea what he's talking about and I'm not to sure he does either, but I'm also fascinated because he keeps coming back and changing it and adding on. The cat is completely serious, not to mention completely wasted.

Just occured to me.....I think I'll go post that on the current "gun" thread. I mean does anybody want this guy to have a gun?

Spawe -- that's the most brilliant Idea you've had in three years!! Let's get G-Ray to act as our Troll Arbiter. We capture their IP #s and put in a redirect so their comments go to Gene Ray instead of adding to the target thread!! We can pay him in high-grade kudos and Founder's Shares!!

Hey Max!! C'mere, man!! We gotta talk!! See, Spaw had this idea....
