I have a Yamaha CG-70 Classical guitar, its a 2000 year model, but i didn,t get a spec sheet with the guitar. I bought it brand new in November of 2001, and I was wondering if any of you might know where i could download a spec sheet. I've tried just about everything on the web.

Yamaha CG70 Classic Guitar

- Cedar Top
- Laminate Indonesian Mahogany Body
- Rosewood Fretwood and Bridge
- Gold Tuners

..that's all I could readily locate Bob..

Is that a pretty good guitar, or a piece of shit?

My wife has the same guitar.
She played a bunch of them and liked that one so I bought it for her a few years ago.
For the price, it's a very decent instrument.

Bob,

Wish I could still play a classical guitar.

Priced by the pound I don't think you can beat Yamaha Classicals. Especially the cedar toppers. Every one I played I liked. I'll bet you will really like it.

If I could find an old Cypress topped Gianinni I'd buy one tho'. I liked the harder sound for doing Sea Chanties.

Don

I think that I"ll enjoy my Yamaha, if I can get the strings to stretch enough so I won"t have to tune it all the time.

I am still trying to adapt to this guitar, and I probly will be for a long time to come. My CG-70 is a beautiful guitar and I just love the way it plays. Until next time, Bob

I just opened the case to my Yamaha CG-70 tonight and I found to my dismay a broken D string. It looked like the string just came unravelled and I don't know how to tie a new one on. Oh well off to the store tomorrow. Bob
