11 Feb 02 - 03:35 PM (#647466) Subject: HELP: Geordie group Linda's Farm? From: Uncle Steve I play in a raggity pub in Phoenix that sees a lot of tourists... Time and time again, Brit visitors pull on my sleeve and tell me I absolutely MUST learn some tunes by a group called Linda's Farm, a Geordie band. They tell me my style would be great for a couple of the tunes, which usually results in spontaneous renditions of some song or another by the table of northerners. I can't find recordings or lyrics for Linda's Farm... any guidance... discs, lyrics, etc.? Is this group still playing? Thanks - Steve |

The lead singer and writer moved to Toronto and operated a "Make your own wine" store across the street from us until about three months ago. I still sing "I'm Coming Home Newcastle". Good song, even for a Canuck. Cheers Rick |

From: C-flat The remaining members of Lindisfarne are still touring today.I believe they are appearing in Newcastle in the next month or so.I was a fan in the 70's but I suspect I may be disappointed to see them today.I'd just as soon remember them as they were!My personal favourite was CLEAR WHITE LIGHT. |

The band was from the UK. A military buddy turned me on to them we he came back to the states from England. I think I still have an album stashed somewhere. I pulled them out about 5 years ago. They brought back a lot of memories. |
