14 Feb 02 - 07:21 PM (#650376) Subject: Popular songs From: Dave Wynn I created a thread a while back about (Musical Postitution) and as a result of this I would now like to ask for a set list of very (Very) popular songs that would be appropriate to the most untutored of audiences. They need to be without political message and ones that would be recognised by an audience that is not "Folk or Blues aware" I don't need lyrics or music (good old mudcat will provide those) Just songs that you can sing and everyone will have heard somewhere. (nothing with more than three chords and one minor) I can start by showing the level as: Gypsy Rover Wild Rover Black Velvet Band Blow the Man Down Crystal Chandeliers I need about 30 more :-) Your help (as always) would be appreciated. Its breathtaking! Some more popular songs might be those taught in school.
