Does anyone know anyone with a cello kicking around that they might be willing to lend or sell?

Thanks, Marion

Marion, try Musician's Friend. They have a cello for $500 US with case and bow.I don't the quality of the instrument, but that is a great price.

Much better than the $6000 price on the carbon fiber one I got to play last fall.

My sister has one in Colorado that, last I knew, she was interested in selling. I'll ask her to stop by this thread.

RE, above message.

When you get to the site put either Cello or VC-455 (catalog #) in the search box and it will take you to it. BTW price is now $449.99 US.

Kevin- It is a great first line for a song--sort of like the old Hoosier Hot-Shot's "From the Indies to the Andes in His Undies"

Thanks for the responses, all.

To be frank, though, an instrument would have to be pretty much free for me to consider buying it sight unseen or having it shipped, so I'll stick to local sources.

Anyone else?

Thanks, Marion

I found one! And it was both local AND pretty much free. My plan now is to teach myself to play cello in public - sort of a performance art thing.

How's that song coming along, McGrath?

Good job! and in under two months - which really isn't that long - could take that long to have one shipped!
