I’m looking for lyrics for the song "Fairylands of Love." It’s an old song and I don’t know the artist. Some lines are:

I’m running wild through the fairylands of love,
Glancing through the sunbeams of your smile.
Just one little kiss from you, sweetheart,
Would stop my lonely heart from running wild.

Would really love to get it.

HTML line breaks, punctuation, & capitalization added. --JoeClone, 2-Mar-02.

It would help if we knew the genre of the song. Is it folk, country, music hall, etc? Any chance of a date at all? "Old" doesn't mean much. Where did you hear it? When?

The Moody Blues song, " Tuesday Afternoon ," from 1967, contains the phrase, "through the fairyland of love" but none of the other words matches your quote. Coincidence?

I also found this reference to a song called Fairyland Of Love by "Betty Jo." [Betty Jo Catlett]

A web page about country singer Big Bill Lister mentions a Betty Jo Catlett who sang with a western swing band called the Texas Top Hands around 1947.

There is also a Betty Jo Catlett Watson, from Texas, who has been posting at this Catlett genealogy web page. Don't know if it's the same person, but you could ask.
