Around here:
There's also 2 or 3 who would accuse the people who thought the light bulb changer of having ulterior motives.
2 to write to Max that they don't like the new light bulb
1 or 2 to write a song about it. For example:
"Oh the changing of the bulb
The flipping of the switch
The complaints from all the posters
Who piss and whine and ..."
or

Eek - from this page on Tam Lin. (This disucssion happened several years ago.)

Jeri wrote this as part of a discussion on rec.music.folk about how many folk singers it takes to change a lightbulb.

  1. Janet put her backpack on
    And all her goods arranged
    And she's gone to Carterhaugh
The light bulbs for to change.

  2. She'd not changed a double bulb,
    a bulb but only two
When up then spoke young Tam Lin
    says "Lady change no more"

  3. "And why change you the light bulbs
    without my acquiescence"
"Those reg'lar bulbs use too much power
    I prefer fluoresescents".

I take it this should be sung as Gregorian Chant. You left out the long Amen at the end.

Now if someone could put it into Latin maybe...

I wasn't aware that listserv had an e on the end of it.

No doubt I'm one of Dick's 1331

That's cool. Shame that Max refuses to allow me a membership here.

Ahhh, I thought this was purdy funny. Dick, until me and my cousin Rufus got in a fist fight after discussing the math. So you might as well kick that number up to 1,333 and counting... Yep, when Retha May finds out we've been fighting again, it'll be 1,334 and counting...

Jeri - and a GUEST or two to complain that the Mudcat insidi clique won't let anyone else change bulbs, and that Max should do something about it.

A lot of additions to the old politically incorrect joke.
How many (insert your pet hate person or race) does it take to change a lightbulb?
One to hold the lightbulb and 400 to spin the house around.
Jeri, thanks for the Tam Lin reference

How many cats does it take to change a light bulb?

Cats do not change light bulbs. People change light bulbs. So, the real
question is:

"How long will it be before I can expect some light, some dinner, and a
massage?"

I thought it took two surrealists to change a light bulb. One to feed the giraffe and one to fill the bathtub with red colored hardware appliances.
