Does any one know the chords for Outward Bound, by Tom Paxton? Carolyn Hester does it on her At Town Hall album.

Can't help you, but I know that Paxton is playing in Framingham, Mass this weekend. Mudcatter Rick Fielding is opening for him. The time & location are on Rick's website here.

OUTWARD BOUND

1965, Tom Paxton
.

(D7)Outward (G)bound upon (D7)a (G)ship that sails no oceans,
Outward (D7)bound, it has no crew but (Am7)me (D7)and (G)you.

(D7)All a-(G)lone when just a minute ago the shore was filled with (D7)people,
With people (Am7)that (D7)we (G)knew.

Outward bound upon a journey with no ending
Outward bound, uncharted waters beneath our bow.
Far behind the green familiar shore fading into time,
And time has left us now,

So fare(D7)well, adieu, so long, va(Ddim)ya (D7)con (C)di-(G)os
May they (d7)find whatever they are (Am7)look-(D7)ing (G)for.
Re(D7)member (G)when the wine was better than (D7)ever a-(G)gain,
We could not (D7)ask, We could not (Am7)ask (D7)for (G)more.

Outward bound upon a ship with tattered sail,
Outward bound, along a crooked, lonesome trail,
Things we learn, we'll just be satisfied in knowing, And we'll tell it to
our kids as a fairy tale.

So farewell, adieu, so long, vaya con dios
. May they find whatever they are looking for.
Remember when the wine was better than ever again,
We could not ask, We Could not ask for more.

answered my own question

regarding lyrics--still do not know sound or tune---

OUTWARD BOUND
(Tom Paxton)

Outward bound, upon a ship that sails no ocean
Outward bound, it has no crew but me and you
All alone when just a minute ago the shore was filled with people
With people that we knew

So farewell, adieu, so long, vaya con Dios
May they find whatever they are lookin' for
Remember when the wine was better than ever before
We could not ask, we could not ask for more

Outward bound upon a journey without ending
Outward bound with uncharted waters beneath our bow
For behind, the green familiar shore is fading into time
And time has left us now

Outward bound, upon a ship with tattered sail
Outward bound upon a crooked lonesome trail
Things we learn, we'll just be satisfied in knowing
And we'll tell it to our kids as a fairy tale

Giok, you are correct one hundred percent.

There now isn't that a great song? One of my favorites.
Any time someone asks me for that vomitous tripe "The Voyage" I point them to "Outward Bound".
