His best performance was as the gangster John Dillinger in the 1945 movie "Dillinger." He was adept at playing bad guys in films and he did a great job as the organiser of the robbery in the 1991 film "Reservoir Dogs." Off screen he had a reputation as a hell raiser and in 1974 he was stabbed in a bar-room brawl. A bad week overall for the entertainment business. |
