Tune Req: Parnell's March

Subject: Parnell's March

Hi,

Does anyone have the sheet music to a tune called Parnell's March they could let me have? I believe it's Northumbrian. I heard a fiddler play it but my memory is not good enough to retain a melody on the first twenty hearings. It's a great tune with a real swagger, and I want to adapt it for the guitar.

No march, but there is a reel at JC's--click here for Parnell choices at JC's. Click on the GIF for sheet music. If you are not sure, you can click on GIF first, then at the bottom of the sheet music, click on MIDI. When the player window comes up, minimize it and you can watch the music while the MIDI plays.

Hi,

I have since discovered that this tune is on the Voice of the People CD "Ranting and Reeling" where it is played by Willy Taylor, Joe Hutton and Will Atkinson. My friend Anahata has rendered it into ABC, I am not good with it, I commend it to you as a good tune

NB
this is my first attempt at using the <BR> and other HTML stuff in a Mudcat posting. Hope it works. It occurs to me that I could stick a GIF or PNG on a web page and embed it in HTML here, so you'd see the actual music notation as a graphic embedded in the message which would be rather cool.
