10 Years Of Singing In Public

I realized at the Side Door Coffehouse this weekend that this month marks 10 years of singing in public. This feels like some kind of milestone to me. I haven't been into this very long.

And coincidentally (for I did not intend it to coincide with this anniversary) I headlined last Saturday at the Houlton (Maine) Coffeehouse with Charley Noble. We were well received and thanked effusively for our performance. We will be invited back.

Here's hoping for 10 more years at least!

If I can include the hymn that I was asked to sing solo in front of the whole of my infant (kindergarten) school, then I've been singing in public for 50 years - take it from me - it get's even better.

Mind you, I came from a musical family - I was playing on the linoleum before I could walk.

Here's to 10 more anniversaries of your 10th anniversary!! The world needs all the music it can get right now! Arlo Guthrie says, "If you want to change the world, you've got to SING LOUD!" Keep on keeping on, Naemanson!

I forgot to mention in my initial post that the Houlton Coffeehouse is in my home town. Local kid comes back home in triumph.

Thanks for the nice thoughts. I sure do enjoy singing and performing. And I hope there are always some people who enjoy hearing me and participating with me.
