18 Mar 02 - 12:48 PM (#671364) Subject: Banjo tone ring From: GUEST,emorygrove Can someone explain the tone ring on a banjo, where it is and what it is? From what I've gathered, some have them and some don't. Thanks |

Look inside your banjo(if you are one of us poor, befuddled banjo pickers). It sits inside right under the head, made of brass or some other heavy metal. It increases the volume and the tone.
