Yes indeed! I am let out of my cage for a visit to Houston..... I arrive late Wed. April 24 departing Sunday 28th.

I dont go out of the state often but thar it is!

I shall be driving an artcar in the huge orangeshow artcar parade. Will bring whistles etc....

I shall be in need of trace elements which means that I must find a tap which is connected to a full keg of gunnness, beamish, or murphys.

If you wish more information send to me an e.mail... Or e female.....

Conrad

Have fun! If it was Dallas now, I could suggest a few places -

WARNING! Precious few folks on the Washington DC/Baltimore session scene (where Conrad lives) can stand this guy, so naive Mudcatters might want to think twice before extending invitations...

Consider this a public service announcement, and ignore it at your own peril.

Can anyone suggest why Conrad posted 30 or so Lyric Add threads on Mudcat yesterday with lyrics of various old folksongs?

Thanks for the review....truly refreshing! Actually I have been invited there by several folks from there who have traveled to Baltimore and have stayed with me for many days and have returned often.... I did not want to go but they begged and I should return the favor! Of course many people have many opinions. But if you are in Houston I will buy the first round and you can decide yourself! Should be fun. If only I could take Handy Car which is getting better by the day. Click for Handy

Isn't it wonderful how everyone is spacial in their own way!

Conrad, that was a brilliant rejoinder; absolutely magnificent. This response should be included in a faq somewhere, some sort of 12 step program for catters who feed off of troll bait.

We certainly are all spatial in our own way, no question about that. I checked into that thank you thread, and I now see that many people appear to be grateful for the lyrics you posted. Okay...I guess that's fine with me. I just thought it was strange because there were so many of them all at the same time.

I'm not at my own computer currently - feel free to give a call @ 713 529-3711.
I usually try to make the artcar parade but this year I will probably still be on crutches as I am recovering from a broken ankle and I may not have the energy to get about. Or I may be back under for some follow-up surgery. Or I may be out-of-town that weekend, can't remember right now.
"McGonigal's Mucky Duck" is a nice small-performance pub and open Irish mic/jam night I think on Wednesdays but your friends will probably have plenty of suggestions and information of that nature.
Anyways call if you like, and the grad-student bar on campus where I usually work always has $0.60 cups of beer + Guinness canned + hard cider, and numerous other varieties canned/bottled for $1.50 - $3.00.
So hope the road rises to meet ya and the artcar pulls through, if it's an over-the-road car. Michael

Thanks Michael- Who knows perhaps I can arrange to pick you up and give you a ride in the parade. Be good to the ankle as there are still a few weeks left.....
