If Mudcat was E-Bay, I'd know how to finish the
deal. As such....need some instructions about how
to proceed with my bid on the 1962 Newport Folk
Festival Songbook

PS - Cowabunga....I'm stoked!!!

I think the custom here is to "Just wing it".

Send me $1,000 and then.... oops, nononono....

Send Max the money, asking him to notify me it has been rececieved. Then I visit the post office. After a quick side trip to Jean, your package will arrive!

WYSIWYG/Susan -

Done!
Wish I'd known about Mudcat Gathering before.
Alas, I'm landlocked by punch-clock working hours
and parental duties. Looking forward to the
songbook!

FYI - In 1962 (at age 10) I was mostly listening to
Johnny Horton and Harry Belafonte music
. By my late teen years I was picking the songs by
these festival artists
.

Many years later....they are still my favorite
On...forgot to mention my DULCIMER period (made my own)
and time spent with the Jean Ritchie songbooks too
.

So you see...Folk Music has always Jazzed up my Life

The last gathering included kids..... they had a great time.... I know a lovely fella here who needs a dulcimer lesson, he's terrified, a parishioner of ours.....

Hello ~Susan (again) -

A week out from Auction Time I've yet to receive word that MAX received Payment (from PayPal) or that you have been contacted (know my address) or much of anything else.

Wednesday is my 50th birthday & the Folk Festival guide was intended as a gift to myself for Time Well Spent.

So.....?

I ran into the same thing when I bought Charcloth's Banjo. When I had the high bid I PM'd Max as to what to do next. Max basically said that it's all on the honour system. I think it's kind of nice that we can do it that way.
