I recently started a thread at BaptistLife.com with this:
Recent references to women's breasts, Song of Songs, sexual intercourse as "reenactment" [shouldn't it maybe be "pre-enactment", Jack L?] of God's relationship with His Bride the Church, etc. here have reminded me of one of my favorite hymns, His voice as the sound of the dulcimer sweet (an anonymous piece from the Southern Harmony, mostly drawn from (attributed mostly to Joseph Swain):

His voice, as the sound of the dulcimer sweet...

and one of my fellow liberal Baptists, Joshua Villines, replied
Someone swore to me that there is dulcimer (the only instrument I can sort of play) music to accompany this. Ever seen any?
And since you guys here at Mudcat are far more knowledgable in the dulcimer than I, I refer the question to you. I don't know if Joshua meant a different tune specially for dulcimer accompanists, or if he meant an arrangement of "Samanthra" specially for the dulcimer. Anybody?

There's a downloadable review copy here. Should be able to transcribe it for mountain dulcimer.

Joshua is thrilled and says I am his hero. (Of course, he really means Mudcat is his hero, I and Mark being merely its handservants.) Now he wants mountain dulcimer music for the song "I'll Meet You in the Morning". He says it will make us his Über Hero. Mark? Anyone?

Betty Smith might sing "Samanthra" to the accompaniment of dulcimer.(Click here for info).
