Tut tut you two! Seriously members should be treated in the same way as anyone else. A prat is a prat whether you know their name or not. However hiding behind the term 'guest' and being a prat is worse because at least members can be replied to. However not everyone who posts as a guest is a troll or a flamer but it's usually pretty easy to spot the ones who are!

When I first read the horror stories about 'treating members' (my dad had a lot of old medical books) I decided to make sure my member never NEEDED treating!

Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

Rick, there is an excellent display of mistreated members at the National Museum of Health in DC. A few that are pickled for posterity and a lot of photos.   Truthfully, I was somewhat amazed at the amount of space dedicated to the "Fight Against Syphyllis."

Members have feelings, so we should always treat them in such a manner that those feelings are good. When all the members feel good, all's right with the world.

How Should We Treat Members? Well. . . .

Fellow goes to a doctor because he's managed to pick up a "social disease." The doctor examines him, says, "Hmm. Not good. It's full of holes!"
The fellow says, "Is there anything I can do with it, doctor?"
The doctor thinks awhile. Then he writes out a telephone number, hands it to the fellow and says, "Call this man."
The fellow leaves. The next day he comes back. He's angry and upset.
"What the hell is this?" he says. "I called this guy, and he tells me he's a musician who plays in an Irish folk music group. He says he plays the penny-whistle."
"Yeah," says the doctor. "I figured that he could teach you how to finger it."

According to an old feller at a nursing home last night, (as reported by my friend who works there), they should be sprayed with deodorant. (Of course seh refused!)

Aaaaargghhh! Members' members should NOT be sprayed with deodorant! Ask anyone who was ever a teenage boy --- he probably did it (but only once!)

...better than spraying 'em with Deep Heat or Ralgex. Ow!
And never chop chillies and then go for a slash (or touch any delicate parts of a significant other) without a thorough hand wash. Unless, that is, you're into doing strange things with yoghurt and bidets.

Or as (I think) Bernard Shaw said "Do NOT treat others as you would wish to be treated yourself, their tastes may differ"

Why, with the utter contempt and cavalier disregard they so richly deserve, of course... :-)

I refuse to join any clubs, private or otherwise, which would treat me like their members.
