Help: Getting off oxycontin

I'm at the end of a period of tapering off of the above and I feel worse than real lousy. Does anyone have any ideas about coping with the withdrawl. Thanks, Dave.

best of luck; I have a feeling this drug will be illegal soon because there are so many problems with its theft and its high level of addictiveness.

Stay with it! make sure you have people around you supportive of your efforts...

Wow. I have a friend who is on it now, since his surgery on March 25th. He's looking great- but we joke that the reason he's so relaxed is because of the oxy. Wonder if he knows about the potential problems? Surely doctors inform one of the high incidence of difficulty?

Thanks so much for the support and the websites. I'm almost weaned off it but it's been 5 hellish weeks. I hope anyone who is prescribed this drug makes really sure it's absolutely necessary to their recovery.Again, thanks all. Dave
