17 Apr 02 - 07:42 PM (#692456) Subject: Strange Bedfellows From: Mr Red Menage a trois? what with the marginalisation from the two in a bar rule and the village pub fighting for survival, it has just come to my notice that the new venue of Charfield singaround (Plough 3rd Thur, J14 M5 UK) shares the pub with the cribbage school and a gentlemen's hairdresser! Quiffing, quaffing and one for his knob? Carlton FC (notts) is (was?) held in the fire station (all together ngar-ngar, ngar-ngar) what other strange bedfellows do Folk Clubs enjoy sharing? cue song? & it's nearly finished - will sing this Thurs & post soon. 18 Apr 02 - 02:59 AM (#692628) Subject: RE: BS: Strange Bedfellows From: Liz the Squeak I've been to a fantastic singaround in a Masonic Lodge.... one of the original Accoustic Bog Society meetings - the cloakroom is huge with lots of seats around the wall, and the accoustics, as in all bathrooms, fantastic! Gents didn't have too far to go, but the ladies left a bit to be desired..... LTS |
