07 May 02 - 09:27 AM (#705880) Subject: Summerfest, New Bedford, MA From: DebC New Bedford Summerfest Folk Music and Arts Festival will take place on July 12-14, 2002 in New Bedford, MA The line up includes: Rory Block, Patty Larkin, Ellis Paul, Cliff Eberhardt, Richard Shindell, Lucy Kaplansky, The Copper Family, Kevin Burke, Liz Carroll, Johnny Cunningham, Bruce Molsky, Jack Hardy, The Kennedys, Garnet Rogers, Sally Rogers, Howie Bursen, John Roberts, David Jones, Gypsy Wranglers, Montcorbier, Matapat, Colleen Sexton, Livingston Taylor, April Verch, Jeff Warner, Susan Werner, Brooks Williams, Michael Cooney, Jeff Davis, Ray Fisher, Vanida Gail, Livio Guardi & Wilson Muontori, Little Johnny England, tongue & groove, Andy Cutting & Karen Tweed, Sacred Harp and more. Performances and workshops will take place on six stages situated in the historic district and state pier of New Bedford, MA. This year, we will have 80 artisans and high quality importers, traditional craft demonstrations, incredible New Bedford seafood and other area foods, farmers market and waterfront activities. The Friday evening concert on the State Pier (Waterfront Stage) begins at 6 PM; the stages in the historic district open on Saturday at 11 AM; all sites will be open through Sunday July 14 to 8 PM. The cost of a Summerfest button is $7 and is good for the three days.
