She will be talking of her life and her new recordings---and we shall be playing music from them and from some earlier works. Her personality and dynamism is unique. Hope you can join us---TRADITIONS airs from 3-6 PM EDT. This interview will be on around 5 PM. WFDU reaches the tri state NY NJ CT area on the frequency of 89.1 FM. ALso you can hear us on the web www.wfdu.fm I don't know how to make that web address turn blue---only my complexion can turn that color. I heard her on the Prairie Home Companion show recently, and she can still reach the back of the hall even when she's singing pianissimo. Wonderful, rich, powerful voice. She is an extraordinary performer vocally, musically, influentially, etc., etc., etc. I too, heard her recently on A Prairie Home Companion, (4/27/02) and she blew the roof off of Town Hall, NYC.
