The Moon Just Turned Blue I just loved the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's version on " Symphonium Dream", which I think is the best album they ever made AFTER "Uncle Charlie". I can't believe the lack of information on this song on the web. it was written by J.D. Souther and is one of the most fun songs to play and sing around. Anyone know where a MP3 can be down loaded?

Another NGDB fan! Yay! I completely agree with your assessment of "(Symphonion)Dream". Don't know about mp3s but I have the vinyl (a bit worn) and could tape it for you.

Cheers,
Michael

Count me in the NGDB appreciation society and that Symphonium Dream is their best album (even better than Uncle Charlie).

THE MOON JUST TURNED BLUE, written and performed by J. D. Souther, was used in the film "Urban Cowboy," (1980).

J. D. Souther has written several songs for films, and has also appeared as an actor in several films and TV series, usually under the name John David Souther.

Several songs that he wrote lyrics for have become hits for The Eagles, e.g. BEST OF MY LOVE, HEARTACHE TONIGHT, and NEW KID IN TOWN.
