From the previous "Are Americans Insular" thread (which has grown too large as some noted):

"You want to see insular? Spend a month reading uk.music.folk!"

???

So the fire flickered out after 10 posts on Guest Keith Dance's previous effort (and not one of the 109 others was his) and here he is again pumping his bellows on another incendiary ember.

When I was akid after a 'mickey roast' in the park, all the guys would gather around in a ring and piss the fire out. Anyone ready to join me in a circle?

We British (English, Irish, Scots, Welsh, Manx, Cornish, etc) live on islands - what else could we be?

I do hope so; if we arent insulated proper we might have a shocking experience.

Yes, but not quite as bad as Americans 'cos if the British travel more that a hundred miles or so they'll like as not end up in another country. So they tend to be just a little more aware that they are not the only people on earth. *GRIN*

DonD, the image of women assisting is a painful one. You guys are on your own.

Are the Brits insular?

What's it got to do with you?

Go on, clear off and mind your own business.

Time for the Mudcat Fish in the Barrel game I see.

Tsk, tsk. You never learn, do you people?

Presumably when a fish gets shot in a barrel this involves some degree of harm to the fish as well as satisfaction to the shooter. The analogy seems a little far-fetched. More akin to feeding the ducks really.

Where is 'Geoff the Duck' when you need him though?
