I couldn't find lyrics, but there is a video at YouTube. (There are also videos called ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME by Colin Hay and by The Ferrets but those are different songs.) Those lyrics would be difficult for me to transcribe. The tempo is fast, the diction and sound quality are not that good, plus there's the accent. All I know for sure is that the phrase "Are you looking at me?" is repeated many times. Also, I couldn't find any evidence that this is a music-hall song. |

I'd like to note that without the leg work of Jim Dixon, I'd have been down blind alleys for hours. And Jim finding no indication it was a music hall song is apt and incisive. If you want to give it that authentic Scouse feel, 'talking' rhymes with Christopher Walken's surname, and the 'ck' of 'brick' should be like the 'ch' at the end of the Welsh word for small, 'bach' Cheers Dave |
