I live in michigan too, and I would love to know who else is involved with this site who is playing around michigan. I will be playing on Mackinac Island in late august, in ann arbor off and on over the summer, and I just picked up a weekly gig in Webberville of all places (at a brewery!) My band is playing in Grand Rapids this Sunday - Big Mick's band is playing tonight in Grand Rapids (Festival of the Arts, downtown Grand Rapids) We're playing some "music in the park" stuff over the summer - Howard City, Ravenna, Grand Haven, etc., And at the Saline Celtic Fest in Saline, July 13. Maybe you know a friend of mine named Dave Boutette. He does the open mic at the drowsy parrot... Berk.. What is the bands name? or do you play alone? And by Irish Pub I'm guessing you mean kelly's, which is owned by some freinds of mine. You've probably talked to ron petit, I think he books the acts there... I'm in Lansing, about 2 miles west of Elderly, and our house could probably handle 20-30 people for a daytime gather. As far as sleeping arrangements we're a bit more limited, although we have a king bed in the guest room, a queen size sofabed in the basement and a fair amount of floor space for anyone who wanted to bring sleeping bags or bedrolls. I agree with Mick, we should probably plan a gathering. Anyone got any date suggestions?
