Just caught a snippet of a jazz quartet on Radio 4's "Loose End" tonight but didn't quite catch the name of the live performers. Alberto ------ Quartet? I thought they were so good I had to pull over and listen! Very "Reinhardt and Grappelli" I thought, but with a fresh take. I'm hoping that someone else heard it and DID catch the name.

They had Kathryn Tickell on "Front Row" advertising her tour of Pipers. She was very good on the interview.

Thread Drift: I got a flyer from the South Bank about Kathryn Tickell in the post I opened at 7pm saying she was playing at 8pm back in central London that same day (and only that day)

It annoys me that all that time, money and effort went into producing the flyers and they were then sent out too late for many people to be able to respond to them. It seems to happen far too often. (People doing tours please note!)

It's definitely worth checking out the Radio Times. All sorts of interesting stuff. Viva le wireless.

I've looked up Alberto Borsari but can only find this site. This doesn't look like what I'm looking for. The quartet I heard featured guitar and violin, I didn't hear any harmonica. I found it an interesting site and an interesting story nevertheless! Meanwhile, if anyone else has any suggestions I'd be grateful.
