It was by the New Lost City Ramblers and had such titles as "A Dollar's All I Crave," "the Old Miller" and "One Little Story The Crow Told Me" and suchlike. Any tips as to where I can procure it, or lyrics to the $ song ["Fifteen cents is all I ever had, a dollar's all I crave..brougth nothing with me into this world, gonna take nothing to my grave..."] thanks! : ) sarah |

Late last night -way down town-
I was late last night when Willie came home
Oh me, oh my
One old shirt is about all I've got
*Refrain
Wish I was down in old Baltimoe
*Refrain
Wish I had a needle and thread
*Refrain (I'm not 100% certain these are the NLCR lyrics.....)

It isn't in the version of this song Doc Watson sings. |

We may have found Lady Mondegreen again.... singing your chorus in Doc Watson's accent, I can't really tell. Now, was it Rio Bravo? |
