24 Jun 02 - 02:21 AM (#735548) Subject: RE: BS: lost your paltalk names From: Liz the Squeak You may want to check that your Paltalk still plays properly - we had any amount of trouble with it in the song circle last night. cyder_drinker had no mike, then he rebooted and had no audio either. When I'm on the mike and a pop up appears, my killer disables it, but also manages to disable the mike as well, and last night it just kept breaking up whenever I tried using another function (posting to Mudcat whilst the mike was on with a CD playing - we were experimenting). This new upgrade has come with a whole set of problems of it's own. I notice a couple of people lost their Paltalk cookies, several have lost audio functions and the popups are more vindictive. Oh, and I'm still Liz_the_Squeak. LTS |

24 Jun 02 - 02:35 AM (#735553) Subject: RE: BS: lost your paltalk names From: Haruo I'm still unable to get my mike to record anything (or maybe the problem is hearing what it's recorded), but if I ever get it working my name is Liland. I've never used Paltalk, not sure what to expect, but I am registered. Liland |

24 Jun 02 - 09:01 AM (#735664) Subject: RE: BS: lost your paltalk names From: dwditty Hi Alison, I left you some mudcatter names in pm on Paltalk. Some tips. 2. I have had good success in the paltalk help rooms, althought it does depend on the "helper" of the moment. 3. It is worth every penny of the $20 annually to rid myself of the popups. 4. Visit lots of music rooms. While there are some obnoxious ones to be sure, there are some real gems. Accordians of the World is a place to go when you are unable to muster a smile. You cannot be ther without doing so. Native American Flute and Drums is amazing at times, often live players. And of course, DW's Coffee House is open occasionally - I will post such occurences here in the forum. If you want to know more, send me a note. DW |

24 Jun 02 - 10:47 AM (#735736) Subject: RE: BS: lost your paltalk names From: katlaughing I haven't done any recent downloads, but last I checked I was still "katlaughing." I second that about the Native American Flute and Drum music room, as well as a couple of other Native American ones, plus there used to be a reggae one of mostly women which was a lot of fun. Sorry, I cannot remember the name of it. |

02 Nov 02 - 07:25 PM (#817125) Subject: RE: BS: lost your paltalk names From: Liz the Squeak Paltalk usually happens on Sundays, at 7.00pm GMT but unfortunately, I'll be out tomorrow and won't be back before 8.00. If someone else wants to start it up then feel free.... We had trouble last week because they've done an upgrade and it meant that we had no mikes for most of the evening. Even when we moved to another room some of us had trouble. All I can say is... I don't remember 'Hearme' being so much trouble! LTS |
