01 Jul 02 - 06:40 PM (#740330) Subject: UK - Sessions in Liverpool & Durham area From: Skipjack K8 My good friend and polymuso Mike set me a bit of a poser tonight by ringing me from the wrong side of the Pennines to ask what sessions are on in Liverpool and Durham, or environs. He's looking for any Liverpool sessions tomorrow night (Tuesday) and anything in the Durham/Darlington area on Wednesday night. I've tried the Prof, and another couple of sites, but where better to ask than here? Thanks in anticipation. Skipjack |

02 Jul 02 - 02:46 PM (#740849) Subject: RE: UK - Sessions in Liverpool & Durham area From: Joan from Wigan Thanks, Noreen, for copying that info from 'Folkal Point'. Folkal Point covers part of NW England, and the listings part of it can be found on Graham Dixon's Trouble at' Mill website: Folkal Point. I can't find anything folky in the Durham/Darlington area on Wednesday. There's a folk night at The Wayfarer in Durham on Fridays, and on this Saturday/Sunday there's the Hartlepool Maritime Festival, but there doesn't appear to be anything midweek, unless I'm looking in the wrong places... 03 Jul 02 - 01:38 PM (#741579) Subject: RE: UK - Sessions in Liverpool & Durham area From: NoMattch If you're in Liverpool's city centre, sometimes you can catch a session during the week either downstairs or upstairs in Flannigan's Apple on Matthews Street. There's an acoustic group there on Sundays. They have welcomed others to play along in the past. |
