The same would apply to the popular things they won't be doing in a hurry, such as slimming down the fat cats.
Selling arms to all and sundry is pretty standard for governments of both sorts of course. It's never been particularly popular.
So is breaking promises and telling lies, and that's not too popular either. No doubt any future (official)Tory government that goes in for that will be accused of copying Labour.
