16 Jul 02 - 04:09 PM (#749147) Subject: The Goddess Bridget, Celtic smithcraft From: Bearheart Hi folks, I am working on a shamanic healing Tarot deck and need info on the Celtic goddess Bridget and associations with smithcraft and healing. (Also healing wells). Am looking for photos of sacred wells (most photos I've found on the net are not very clear to work from) and images of early (Bronze Age) smithies, to use in my painting of Her, now half-finished. A search for blacksmiths/smithing on the web did not yield much that was helpful. Looking for titles of books I might obtain from a library, that would give some detail on construction of early smithies especially. Also because She has become the Mediator/Muse of this work for me, I am looking for songs (hopefully in English since I don't know Gaelic) about Her. (Needless to say, they would be dedicated to Her in Her saintly form... I'm fine with that.) Thanks! Bekki Bekki |

This is the first time I think I have ever heard of smithing being associated with Brigit. Dairy, fertility, healing; yes those I have all heard about.
