26 Jul 02 - 05:00 AM (#754812) Subject: Help: How can I play random music on my PC? From: Dave the Gnome I use Spinner to play music at the moment but I can only play one channel. I have set my favourites to be Folk, celtic, World, Goth, Ambient, Alt Rock and a couple of others. I can only play one channel at a time though. Anyone know of a player that will give me random tracks from a number of favourites? I know I can listen to radio but that gives me other types of music as well. I just want to listen to a selection from a band of favourites - Know what I mean? Out of interest while I was trawling downloads.com I found this - Desktop banjo There realy are some sick people about...;-) Cheers Dave the Gnome |

My all-singong all-dancing Soundblaster Audigy sound card comes with a remote control that's got more buttons than a Chinese moblie phone. I think it would do what you want, but I have no idea how to use it! On the other hand, my Rio portable CD player can read MP3, so I can put 15 hours of music on it and set it to "random", like a convention CD player; I could plug it into my stereo or my pc if I wanted to use speakers instead of headphones. These are rather expensive alternatives, so they may not be much use to you ... Steve |

I thought you wanted randomly-GENERATED music, not randomly SELECTED! I thought there may be a customer for my program which makes random jigs & reels (including chords) Oh well, never mind |
