Banjoest - I can't think of any offhand but there must be some. Where ever the fiddle goes there's going to be a mandolin not too far behind. Don't forget to ask this question over at the mandolincafe.com. There are a lot of informed folks over there too.

Perhaps more properly La-La or Creole rather than zydeco, but don't forget Alfonse "Aveugle-Citron" Pichon who played mandoline on Douglas Bellard's legendary 1929 New Orleans recording (Dec 9,1929, Columbia40517F) "Les flam de ma tante"/"Le cocodree dans le gron bois"
