You folks are incredible. So far, in my short time here, I haven't seen a question go unanswered (some answers use big words too).

How can I make this forum one of my lifelines?

Dear Mud: put Mudcat on your "favorites" list, hang around a lot, and feel free to respond to questions you don't know the real answer to...why should you be different from the rest of us? Help out a newcomer or a guest once in a while. If your REALLY GOOD, Catspaw will eventually tell you how to get your secret decoder ring, and then you will be part of the famous "INNER CIRCLE"...I'm still waiting!

No, Masato knows everything.

The rest of us just try to take the credit.

I'm fairly certain that Bin Laden is one of our more rancorous Guests. All the best PP.

Mudcat follows the Delphic principle...if you get enough minds with information in one place, you reach critical mass. Masato and Malcomb Douglas and Rick Fielding and ....well, several others, just have extraordinary amounts in certain areas..others are whizzes with search engines,,,

But Bill D, what happened to the rule that the combined IQ of a group is equal the lowest IQ of the individuals in the group divided by the number of people in the group?

Re: "the rule that the combined IQ of a group is equal the lowest IQ of the individuals in the group divided by the number of people in the group"

This rule might be true if there really were such a thing as an IQ, but there isn't.
