Chords Req: Louise (Paul Siebel)

Subject: need chords: Louise
From: Branwen23

Hey, all,

I'm looking for chords for a song called "Louise", by Paul Siebel.

It's the one that starts:

They say that Louise was not half bad,
It was written on the walls and windowshades.
And though she'd act a little girl,
A deceiver, don't believe her, that's her trade.

Anybody know the chords?

Branwen

Click Here for Bonnie Raitt's version from the Cowpie lyrics server.

Try this Bran, it's from memory twentyfive years gone. Hope it helps.

My friends use this chord sequence, which sounds right for the tune they sing:
  C - D7 -
F G7 C -
C - D7 -
F G7 C -
F G7 C -
F G7 C -
F G7 Am -
D7 - G7 -
C - D7 -
F G7 C -

The Leo Kottke version was played in open C tuning - CGCGCE - the chords above are about right - the only really tricky chord in the open C is the Am, which is easiest rendered X24200

Paul Siebel wrote the song in E, which I think sounds better. Try and find his recording of it on the old Elektra album WOODSMOKE & ORANGES, on of the best recordings of the '60's. He had David Bromberg, Jeff Gutcheon, Richard Green, and many more great musicians backing him up. The chords Paul used;

E F# A B7 E E F# A B7 E A B7 E A B7 E A B7 C# F# B7 E F# A B7 E

Really Like Paul Siebel's music. Would like to find the guitar chords to Jasper and the Miners. Great song! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
