27 Aug 02 - 09:32 PM (#772627) Subject: RE: BS: All the threads you dreamed of From: Bee-dubya-ell Oh, it's easy enough to get hundreds of people to look at a thread. Just call it: Britney is Dubya & Cher's Lovechild Problem is, it's a baldfaced lie (I think) and you will not have one shred of evidence to back up your claim. So, everyone will think you are full of kaka and hate you for wasting their time and call you nasty names and never speak to you again and never post to any of your threads. You will be like the people in that movie that I can't remember the name of. And furthermore, God will put you on his shitlist and when you die you will go to Hell for lying. All things considered, isn't it better to just be bored? Bruce |

All of them with something interesting, helpfull and above all relevant. You dont have to be a comedy script writer to get lots of responces or hav a conputr wiv owt a spl chiker9 to git feeeeeeeeed bk. |

I've despaired at times when a thread that I think has great merit tanks in a day or two. About four years ago I put a couple of technical (music) threads in and they got about one fiftieth the response of a Little Hawk "Shatner" thread. I decided to fight fire with fire and started using "joke" titles. It worked. My favourite? "What the "F" is wrong with Mudcat?" Managed to hook in about a hundred folks to discuss the different ways of playing an F chord. Done it dozens of times since. Rick |
